What relevance to the project or useful editor information is conveyed by these userboxes? None. Its yet another example of the public hysteria engendered by this appalling circus of trial-by-media. Not appropriate. Plutonium27 12:07, 14 October 2011 (UTC)
So, is this questioning other "OSUs" existence? Also, The Ohio State University was founded 20 years prior to Oklahoma State University, so a primacy claim fails too.
Thought about making a user box showing pride for being a Pole (Polish person) :-) Tell me what you think, it's also on my user page :D I can make more, pertaining to a different nationality and so with the flag and colors :-) Just ask! Drewno (talk to me) 12:30, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
I know barely any Dutch, only stuff like "Hallo, mijn naam is Alex" or "Ik ben Pools"... for those who are the same as me :p Drewno (talk to me) 12:49, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
This Userbox is not compliant with the {{Babel}} template: It's (poor indeed) Dutch states the user knows hardly any Dutch. The -0 ending in {{Babel}} means no knowledge of the language. So why use it or even introduce it? JanEnEm (talk) 10:37, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
The correct phrase would be: Deze gebruiker kent nauwelijks Nederlands, or even better: Deze gebruiker kent amper Nederlands. :-) Jahoe (talk) 04:09, 12 November 2012 (UTC)
OK I admit I'm really picky about usage of the word "brother." That admitted, I don't think one can be a brother of an organization. I mean, one is a human being and the other is a club. I think one can be a member of an organization, a brother of other members, but not a brother of the organization. The words are not synonyms. ;) RiverStyx23{submarinetarget} 23:25, 4 January 2013 (UTC)
Yet another time indicating userbox, but this one automatically adjusts the time according to Daylight Saving Time depending on your time zone. And there are more options to enhance it in your own way (see the the userbox's documentation).
Too large. Awkward layout, lacks borders/partitions. No references or links to give context as to what whipping the hair is and why this user likes it. See WP:User pages for guides as to what is and is not appropriate for userpages. Plutonium27 12:52, 14 October 2011 (UTC)
No partitions, links, or explanations as to what the hair whipping is. And honestly, I felt slapped in the face by the colour scheme.
The dog, cat and bird userboxes they have a total of three params. The first param is The amount of dogs/cats/birds you have. The second one is how many of the total are males and the third is for how many of the total are female. The IRC Server userbox has one param. Which is where you put the irc server that you are usually on, and operates as a link as well. I will in the future add an userbox where you can add how many servers you are on. I also might decide to integrate it into the irc server userbox, see documentation pages on the userboxes pages it will tell you what the params or how to include it on your page.

This param where I put 1,510 for the number of edits is an example. That there is a param option in there. To find the number of edits you made go to Special:Preferences and in the userbox type the number of edits you have made on WikiPedia. There is no number limit.—Clarkcj12 (talk) 18:52, 27 October 2011 (UTC)
Thanks. That's why I made them in the first place. The grey ones may be more in line with other Wikipedia-related userboxe(s/n) but I figured the black ones would probably a) look better anyway and b) illustrate the blackout point better. --Skysmurf (Talk)08:28, 28 January 2012 (UTC)
I created these a few months ago but I didn't know what to do with them. Found this page today. Notes about ubxs: I couln't find a good photo for the DW one. I put the Eleventh Doctor photo before I know about fair use, copyright stuff. I also don't have an Irish stepdance photo. Thanx! —ReelAngelGirlIf I do somthing wrong please let me know20:19, 19 January 2012 (UTC)
The second one and the one about chocolate are a bit to personal. They probably won't apply to many people but you. Try just "This owner wants to own an Alaskan Klee Kai dog" and for the chocolate one take out the part about Hershey's. Guyinasuit5517 (talk) 05:29, 28 January 2012 (UTC)
The second one should say "a mother who doesn't". And "would love to own" is probably better as well.
The third (red on red) and sixth one (blue on brown) have poor color combinations (hard to read).
Something like this: [[Chocolate|chocolate]]. The underline remains blue, though. I'm not sure how to change that. --Skysmurf (Talk)21:15, 19 January 2012 (UTC)

Here's a new FreeBSD userbox. The first parameter can optionally be used to indicate a specific version.
Another one, inspired on the Highlander franchise. I couldn't find any eligible (free) images from the franchise itself, so I had to use a generic picture of a sword. I'm not entirely happy with it yet, so any feedback is welcome.
Somebody asked for this at Wikipedia talk:Userboxes/Ideas. The user who issued the request has been banned, but because I didn't notice that until after having already created the userbox - and the request itself seems perfectly legitimate - I figured I might just as well post it here anyway.
I like it. Nice image, good colours. I'd probably change the id-c color from red to something else, though. Now there's a thin red line between the black background of the animated hypercube and the grey of the info field. --Skysmurf (Talk)17:44, 13 February 2012 (UTC)
I changed the line to gray, and it looks much better now. I didn't know what was causing that before you explained it, but now it looks much better. Thanks for the tip.14jbella (talk) 22:20, 13 February 2012 (UTC)
+1 There is some leeway and there is no such thing as a fixed standard size (although there are plenty of advocates for that), but few people like the very large userboxes. Also,
You might want to consider changing the link colors. Personally I can read it just fine, but the blue on blue doesn't have very good contrast, particularly with unvisited links. --Skysmurf (Talk)18:22, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
Does anyone want to make a userbox along these lines? I have a large sample here: User:Canoe1967/Xmas count. It seems the media system can size the thumb to any size. I just don't know how to make a userbox from it.--Canoe1967 (talk) 22:12, 1 April 2012 (UTC)
The use of yellow background is deliberate. I will most likely be adding more Vocaloid boxes, and decided to match the background to their hair colour. A dark haired Vocaloid will get a white description.
I didn't know there was a place to announce these! Here are my user-space userboxes. I've created a good number in wikipedia: and template: as well, but I don't remember all of them.
2 parameters used to indicate how many live (unreverted/kept) edits a user has made, and how many reverted edits.

Hey there! Could someone please give me a hand in creating a user box for the World Rally Championship (WRC)? Thanks. TollHRT52 (talk) 09:25, 5 August 2012 (AEST)
This User is Well Travelled, and has visited these countries:
South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zanzibar(Tanzania), Mauritius, England, Scotland, Denmark, U.S.A., Sweden, Belgium, Mexico, Australia, Seychelles, Sri Lanka, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan.
I would love to make that last one more compact in display, perhaps by linking to a pop-up list of the actual countries, if someone would point me in the right direction. David_FLXD(Talk)Review me10:46, 27 July 2012 (UTC)
Hi there, inspired by two essays on the topic, I created a new troll-UBX including links to both and to the standard WP:DNFTT. Perhaps someone else likes it... :) —Trofobi (talk) 02:44, 16 September 2012 (UTC)
This editor is Lord Gom, the Highest Togneme of the Encyclopedia and is entitled to keep the floor plan of The Great Library of Alecyclopedias, including its ancient access keys.
Okay, Okay. Not really. He just wanted to see what it felt like. Turns out aiming for the impossible makes you a pretty decent editor.
I understand where you're coming from, but I cannot agree! However, perhaps we might agree that a night sky full of stars eclipses both? David_FLXD(Talk)15:40, 5 October 2012 (UTC)
