How will this work[edit]

Is the plan to rotate through these images daily based on the file of the day? Is it best to change these pictures daily or often, or would it work to just have the same pictures? I might like having the same pictures for a long time. Blue Rasberry (talk) 19:20, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

For the moment, there is a new file every day, added to the left, with the rightmost dropping off. I am planning to automate things based on {{CURRENTDATE}} but haven't really looked into that yet. -- Daniel Mietchen - WiR/OS (talk) 00:29, 25 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Number of images[edit]

I just removed one image because it I feel that many people's experience will be that with five pictures of that size one would need to scroll horizontally to see the last picture, and that is not an optimal design. Is there any objection to having four rather than five pictures? To what extent is my reasoning a valid concern? Blue Rasberry (talk) 19:20, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

As part of the redesign last week, we are down to three files now, one of which served via {{OAFD}}, the other two from here. Perhaps it makes sense to merge the two pages and to call them via parameters. -- Daniel Mietchen - WiR/OS (talk) 21:32, 24 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
