Comb and wattle of a rooster
An adult male chicken, the rooster is distinguished from the hen by the prominent fleshy crest on its head called a comb and hanging flaps of skin on either side under its beak called wattles. Both the adult male and female have wattles and combs, but in most breeds these are more prominent in males, an example of sexual dimorphism.Photo credit: Muhammad Mahdi Karim
