Welcome to the WikiProject Green Bay Packers! This WikiProject is separate but complimentary to the NFL Project with the goal to bring together Wikipedians who are interested in the Green Bay Packers. We are dedicated to expanding the most important part of the NFL, that of the Green Bay Packers, including the history, records, statistics, players, coaches, and any other subject that is related to America's greatest small-town team!
If you feel that you can help out in this project, please become a participant by joining the list of participants. If you don't know what to write or where to begin, or if you have doubts or ideas on how to improve an article, please address the project's discussion area.
Guiding Principles[edit]
The focus of the WikiProject is:
Participation: Take part in all discussions about Packers-related content (GA, DYK, AFD, etc.) Assessment: Use the {{WikiProject Green Bay Packers}} banner template to tag and assess all Packers articles Collaboration: Work together to improve articles, solve problems and expand the reach of the WikiProject Knowledge: Become a repository of knowledge and expertise on Green Bay Packers-related articles and issues Expansion: This is an Encyclopedia, and as such, most contributions should be in the expansion of Packers articles Recognition: Recognize the contributors and great Green Bay Packers content through WP:FC, WP:GA and WP:DYK Structure: Ensure all articles, files, categories, etc. are consistently structured for ease of reading and editing
Goals[edit]
The goal of this Project is to expand the free-content encyclopedia of the Green Bay Packers organization. We are currently working towards five major milestones:

- Invite participants to the WikiProject
- Participate in any relevant discussions (i.e. WP:AFD) or reviews (i.e. WP:GAN) of Packers-related content
- Tag and assess relevant articles with {{WikiProject Green Bay Packers}}
- Clean-up articles in our project's cleanup listing (updated weekly on Tuesdays)
- Add relevant templates and categories to necessary articles
- Address articles that need infoboxes ( 2 ), images ( 0 ), references ( 0 ), attention ( 0 ), have unknown parameters ( 0 ) or were automatically assessed ( 0 )

A watchlist tool used to allow all changes made to an article that has {{WikiProject Green Bay Packers}} on its talk page to be compiled in one page. However, that tool is no longer maintained and is now defunct. You can utilize Special:RecentChangesLinked to generate a list of changes by category. As an example, the blue button below will provide all the recent changes to any article in Category:Green Bay Packers players. Just replace the category with any Packers category to see recent changes to articles in that category. Clickable buttons for the three largest Packers categories are provided below.

Article Alerts[edit]
A bot (User:AAlertBot) provides a notification whenever an article under the WikiProjects purview is put up for discussion (such as WP:AFD, WP:PROD, etc). If you would like, you can place the alerts page on your watchlist and stay up-to-date on all relevant WikiProject Green Bay Packers-related discussions.
New Articles[edit]
A bot (User:InceptionBot) patrols newly created pages and based on a set of rules will list pages below that may pertain to the Green Bay Packers. These articles should be checked to ensure they are relevant to the Project. If they are, they should be categorized, tagged with the Projects banner template {{WikiProject Green Bay Packers}} and assessed.
Popular Pages[edit]
A bot (User:Community Tech bot) updates the list of the most viewed articles within the WikiProject below. The bot updates the list on a monthly basis and shows the article's page views and rating.
Assessment[edit]
Assessing articles under the scope of the Green Bay Packers Wikiproject is needed to help organize and address the quality of Packers-related articles of Wikipedia. The assessment is done by adding parameters in the {{WikiProject Green Bay Packers}} project banner; this causes the articles to be placed in the appropriate Quality and Importance sub-categories. A bot (User:WP 1.0 bot) will update the list of newly tagged or assessed articles in the box below.

Statistics[edit]
A bot (User:WP 1.0 bot) will update the table below after a page has been added to the WikiProject using the {{WikiProject Green Bay Packers}} template to show the number of articles by assessment within the WikiProject.
