On 12 April 2024 suspected Islamist rebels attacked people in a field in Mulekera, North Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo leaving at least 10 dead and an unknown amount injured[1]

Around 2012 an armed rebellion in the Kivu provinces of Democratic Republic of the Congo has left thousands dead where armed rebels have attacked villages and cities across the country.
