Abezhdan (Persian: ابژدان), also Romanized as Ābezhdān; also known as Ābezhdān-e Ābandar,^[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Abezhdan District of Andika County, Khuzestan province, Iran.^[4]

At the 2006 census, its population was 789 in 146 households, when it was in Abezhdan Rural District of the former Andika District of Masjed Soleyman County.^[5] The following census in 2011 counted 956 people in 208 households,^[6] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of the new Andika County.^[4] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,673 people in 420 households, when the village had been elevated to the status of a city.^[2]
