Badwater crater

Badwater crater is a crater located in Hellas Planitia on Mars. It contains the lowest point on the planet. Badwater has a diameter of 20.59 miles (33.14 kilometers).[1]

Name[edit]

Badwater Crater is named after the city of Badwater, California in Badwater Basin, the lowest point in North America. The name for the crater was officially adopted by the IAU on 11 April 2015.[1][2][3][4]
