This is a maintenance category, used for maintenance of the Wikipedia project. It is not part of the encyclopedia and contains non-article pages, or groups articles by status rather than subject. Do not include this category in content categories. This is a tracking category. It builds and maintains a list of pages primarily for the sake of the list itself. • Load up an article from the category.
• There is maintenance templates should be at the top of page, with the relevant redlink/copy-pastable code to create the redirects.
• VERIFY THAT THE ABBREVIATION IN |mathscinet= IS CORRECT FIRST
  • There are links in the maintenance templates to facilitate this
  • Do not rely on your intuition. Someone may have made a mistake that seems fine at first glance, but isn't actually an MathSciNet abbreviation (e.g. Ann. Math. instead of the correct Ann. of Math. for Annals of Mathematics).
  • If |mathscinet= is wrong, fix it. The maintenance templates will now update themselves with the correct-copy past code, and the correct redlinks to be created.
  • If you cannot determine the correct abbrevation, or aren't sure, leave a message at WT:WPMATH and someone will help you.
• Use the copy-pastable code from the template to create the redirects (you can also reuse it in the edit summary)
• WP:PURGE the original article to remove the maintenance templates.
