This category is about Burmese who were conferred British knighthoods prior to 1948, when Burma became independent. A Burmese knight was a male indigenous British subject of a country under the British Raj before 1948, who was appointed a Knight Grand Cross/Knight Grand Commander or Knight Commander of an honour in the British honours system, or who was appointed a Knight Bachelor.
