Emelan is a fictional universe created by Tamora Pierce for her series Circle of Magic, The Circle Opens and The Will of the Empress. Related stand-alone books in this universe include Melting Stones, released as an audio book in October 2007, and in book form in October 2008. The most recently published book is Battle Magic which takes place after Street Magic with a focus on Evvy, Briar, and Rosethorn, and their travels in Yanjing and Gyongxe. The next planned publication will take place after The Will of the Empress, and is about Tris studying to become an academic mage at Lightsbridge.[1]
