Project Goals[edit]

• Create article for every tambon in Phitsanulok Province, Thailand
• Article is to include (at a minimum):
  • Names of all villages in English and Thai
  • Infobox with zip code, geographical coordinates, chief roadway, chief watercourse, population & translation/etymology of tambon name, elevation (at coordinates listed in box)
  • Administration section with brief paragraph descrbing tambon/muban system, and comparing number of muban to number of villages
  • List of all temples within tambon (English & Thai) with village name beside each temple
  • List of all other attractions, landmarks, parks in tambon (some attractions, such as national parks, will be in multiple tambon)
  • List of all bodies of water within tambon
• Update amphoe and province articles to at least summarize all of the information at the tambon level

Populate tambon coordinates and remove Phit-tambon-detail-Missing Coordinates tags (coordinates can be found on airport-images.com)

Step 2[edit]

Detailed info (minimum requirements to change tag to Phitsanulok Tambon Complete)

Aspirational[edit]

Availability of the following information is sporadic at best, but some tambon have the information online via various local government websites:

Step 3[edit]

Trace all new information found during process all the way up to province level (should be more detailed in tambon pages, and only summarily mentioned in province page with link to tambon section containing the detailed information

Step 4[edit]

Remove status categories and replace with List of Tambon in Phitsanulok reference article, only after all Tambon reach completed status

Step 5[edit]

Province audit-start at province and make sure all information on province page is gets down to the appropriate tambon (for example if a historical event regarding a temple is on the history section of the province, make sure that historical event shows up on the tambon where that temple is located, etc.)

Progress Notes[edit]

• All tambon article templates are now in place. (10/21/2007)
• Each tambon article now contains a muban table with the names of each village in Thai. (10/21/2007)
• All Amphoe Mueang and Amphoe Bang Krathum temples are listed on the appropriate tambon pages. Names are not yet translated to English in most. (10/22/2007)
• Nakhon Pa Mak is the first tambon to reach complete status, and can be used as a reference template for the other tambon. (10/22/2007)
• All postal code and population fields are populated. (10/22/2007)
• All muban names have been translated to English. (10/22/2007)
• All tambon articles are populated with drainage basin information. (10/23/2007)
• All geocode fields are populated. (10/24/2007)
• Maps created for tambon in Bang Krathum. (10/24/2007)
• Over half of the tambon now have complete temple information in Thai. Names are not yet translated to English in most. (10/25/2007)
• First 16 districts of Mueang Phitsanulok populated with all useful information from ThaiTambon.com (10/26/2007)
