Parallax[edit]

When I worked at EA, they were talking about a tech. called Parallax, it was a method of creating depth using 2d images. Does anyone know how to do this and can explain this in detail?  — [Unsigned comment added by 24.152.183.193 (talkcontribs) 13:12, July 23, 2006.]

Perhaps you mean parallax mapping? -Eekerz (talk) 01:59, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup[edit]

This category has too many articles that need to be put in subcategories of this category. All of the OpenGL-related articles can go in Category:OpenGL, all DirectX/3D-related articles in Category:DirectX, etc. -Eekerz (talk) 00:13, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've created several subcats to help: Category:Texture filtering, Category:Texture mapping, and Category:Shading. Category:Rendering could probably exist too. There are still lots of API-related and software-related pages that need to go under subcats. -Eekerz (talk) 01:57, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I totally agree. Also there are way too many software specific things that should be moved into a subcategory. The main 3D graphics category should be focused on more theoretical concepts and not serve as a free advertisement service for graphics software. --User:mikolalysenko —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.185.171.99 (talk) 03:19, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
