Untitled[edit]

I setup this new catagory although it doens't fully address the requirements I'm looking for. I would like to have a system where you could 'tag' a company that is being taken over by another firm and where you can see on that overview page who is the buyer .. The way I did this is that I used as 'sort' method the company name that is taking over: thus SonicWall and Wyse are sorted under the D for Dell. But if someone has a better method for this: please feel free to change it.

I want to avoid however to make 'static pages' as there you have a huge risk that once the acquisition is completed that this is not reflected on such a static page while it is much more likely that the person updating the 'main article' will just delete the catagory...

Another option would be to create a catagory per company that is taking over: for very large firms like Dell, HP or Cisco this might make sense - but for smaller companies that only acquire one compnay every x years.....

Any ideas: very welcome . Tonkie (talk) 23:21, 2 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
