Needs help![edit]

I'm not sure if anyone over at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Categories has noticed yet, but this category needs serious attention. I think most of the articles here could never be more than stub-length because of the intense amount of overlap between, say, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Mathematics, Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Applied Science, Bachelor of Technology, Bachelor of Computer Science, and Bachelor of Computing, many of which are described in detail in Bachelor's degree anyway. My suggestion would be to either dewikify the Bachelor's degree article to eliminate the urge to make more stubs for each possible degree name, or to fold all the spin-off articles back into the main one. --bmills 03:45, 14 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Probably wise to fold them all back into one. Goldfritha 04:17, 13 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I think it'd be better to have Bachelor's degree as a description of what it is in general, with a list of all the other links to their individual pages. So much to write about them all - all the different institutions that offer it, etc. Could be a whole project in of itself. - EvokeNZ 02:06, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There are so many names and variants out there; folding these back into the main Bachelor's Degree article would result in a MASSIVE page. Of course, that'll just lead to another major problem and another need for a clean-up. I like the idea of having separate pages for most of these variants, as they are almost always unique, but I also think it can be "diffused" into sub-categories. For example, "...Laws", "...Science in Law", and "...Civil Law" all fit nicely under a "Law-related Bachelor's degrees" category. Likewise, the Engineering/Applied Sciences articles (currently there are 4) can also be sub-categorized. Perhaps health/medicine-related degrees could go together too, but this is iffy... I've noticed, though, that there's a need for re-defining what is and isn't a "main article"! There were some listed that were out of place due to accidental sortkeys--I've just fixed these--but there are others (e.g., "Joint Honours") that SHOULD be a main page! I think the subcategories idea above may be a solution, is this resolved?--Jennyfoo2 (talk) 16:36, 18 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's looking resolved now, there are 70 pages in the category, which seems reasonable for this broad topic - removing any cleanup tags. Cander0000 (talk) 10:15, 5 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
