Out of curiosity, would it be worthwhile to look at renaming this category? There seems to be some conflict between editors as to whether or not this category can be applied to bases that closed prior to the unification of the Canadian Forces in 1968. IE RCAF Station Dauphin. It may be worthwhile to look at a category like Military facilities in Canada(closed).Mech1949 (talk) 21:30, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Since the merger of Category:Military bases and Category:Military facilities eight years ago (Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2010 November 12#Military bases and facilities), the term we're using is Category:Military installations. If you insist on using the category system to group closed installations, you either need to come up with something like 'Category:Closed military installations of Canada', or, more precisely and accurately, 'Closed installations of the Canadian Army / RCAF / RCN' and, of course, Canadian Forces.
