Project Israel To Do:

Here are some tasks awaiting attention:

Not a neutral representation[edit]

In nearly all of the articles this category is used, it is POV and there is at least as many who would rather classify those as Category:Massacres committed by Israel or Category:Israeli war crimes, not least many of the attacks against during the Second Intifada or against the Gaza Strip. It would better to keep or add "Israeli operations or battles" and similiar categories.

Looking at Category:Counter-terrorism by country, this one and the ones about Sri Lanka and Syria are basically the only ones who are rather about military operations and battles. --IRISZOOM (talk) 03:38, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps a more accurate name would fix the problem. This category contains operations that Israel sees as counter-terrorism. It is indisputable that they were operations performed by Israel, the only part that shouldn't be stated in wikipedia voice is that they were actually counter-terrorism. How about "Operations by Israel forces stated to be counter-terrorism" or something like it (but less awkward) ?WarKosign 19:17, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I am not sure if the scope of this category is going to include regular military operations and battles (there are already categories for that and it would be much to categorize the goal or mission of everyone of them), as most other categories by country include intelligence agencies work to stop terrorism or police raids etc., but if these are going to be included, then I think the category should be renamed in the way you are mentioning. --IRISZOOM (talk) 21:24, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
