Deletion[edit]

Just what is the point of this page? Imagine a page with critics of Christianity, it would go on for pages. What function does this page have.Chrisp7 09:24, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree wholeheartedly. I think this is a flawed category. As a a construct, what is its contrast pole? L. Ron Hubbard and Scientology followers? Anyone who has never said a word about it? I think it's okay to have a Scientology category but "Critics of Scientology" as a category is card-stacking and has too much potential for creating abuses. Once tagged as a critic of Scientology, the Wikipedia entry could become a target, especially given the philosophy of "attack the attacker" as noted on the Scientology page. I have no dog in this fight. I have noticed a few instances of where pages get tagged with this category getting completely mauled.I just don't think Wikipedia should get involved in any campaign to target people. I second the nomination for deletion of this categoryScholarlyarticles (talk) 20:20, 24 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
