Maybe we should change the sub-categories of cycle racing. Also I would suggest chainging the category itsefl to bicycle racing. Some English speakers see cycles as motercycles.

My incomplete suggestion for a subcategory structure

1. Bicycle Racing

  A. Road Bicycles
     1. Stage Races
     2. One Day Classics
     3.
  B. Cyclocross Bicycles
     1. Classic Cross Races
     2. Unconvential Cross Races
     3.
  C. Mountain Bicycles
     1. Cross Country Races
     2. Downhill Races
     3. 4X Races
     4. Endurance, Ultra-Endurance and 24 Hour Races
     5.
  D. BMX Bicycles
     1.
  E. Recumbent Bicycles
     1. HPV Records
     2.
  F. Track Racing
     1.
  G. Other Bicycle types
     1.

Specific year races included?[edit]

I've seen that some year edition articles are included in this category, should all them be excluded? It looks like races with subcategories already included in Category:Cycle races such as Paris-Roubaix are not included but other races without a subcategory included in Category:Cycle races are categorised here. It also seems that in some cases that rule is not followed, see 2007 Eneco Tour of Benelux. Should we create categories for all races that have specific year articles? I hope you understand what I mean. Is there any Wikipedia guideline for this cases?.Drunt 11:43, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merge[edit]

Perhaps this category should be merged with Category:Cycling competitions? Littledogboy (talk) 15:01, 10 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
