Consistent titles[edit]

We need a consistent format for the titles of these articles on ethnic groups and those on the corresponding languages. My own preference is for "xx people" and "xx language" (e.g. "Swahili people" vs. "Swahili language") so that the subject of the article is immediately clear. Coincidentally this format would also reflect the meaning of the names that many people themselves use to distinguish the two, esp. Bantu language speakers (e.g. "Waswahili" vs. "Kiswahili"). But I also have no strong objection to the bare ethnic names (e.g. "Swahili" - for the ethnic group - vs. "Swahili language" - for the lingo). Can we reach an agreement on this so that these titles can be tidied up and made consistent? Zahir Mgeni 17:19, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
