Forth (programming language)[edit]

Forth (programming language) is not a member of the family of Forth languages; it's the family itself. How do we fix this? Alex 21:41, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I think the category description is wrong; the category should not just be about "dialects of Forth", it should be about "Forth and its dialects". It's a bit like a "family photo album", where you would expect to find group photos of the entire family as well as photos of the individual members. Also, regarding individual languages/dialects being categorised into their "language family" categories as well as their "genre" categories (for example, Forth (programming language) or pbForth being in both Category:Forth programming language family and Category:Stack-oriented programming languages), I quote from WP:CAT: "Articles should not usually be in both a category and its subcategory."
