Title[edit]

What does the title of this cat mean. The problem is that Medway is a unitary authority area within ceremonial Kent. There is no settlement called Medway to act as a centre for these forts. Forts within Medway does make sense. ClemRutter (talk) 19:10, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The purpose of the forts was to originally control access to the Medway river, and later the Chatham dockyard, so the cluster makes sense. Many books refer to it by this name Vicarage (talk) 05:37, 2 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Title has been changed to Forts in Medway. SilkTork ✔Tea time 11:52, 9 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Keep both categories[edit]

Keep Forts In England by location category so these forts still appear in the latter's map, which is restricted to level 1 nesting to exclude hill forts Vicarage (talk) 22:30, 31 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
