Would it be worth having a list of software by contributor? I don't know how to set this up but something like

Subcategories
   Software donated after completion
       United States of America Government
           BRL-CAD                      Army Research Laboratory  2004
           Security-Enhanced Linux      NSA                       2003
       IBM
           Eclipse (software) (formerly VisualAge) IBM Canada    2004
   Software development primarily as open source
       Linux
       Perl

and so on. My original thought was to be able to recognise spurts of corporate generosity, as a particular example did somebody actively encourage US government agencies to contribute something interesting around 2003/2004? MarkMLl (talk) 09:42, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
