I found a brown garnet in the pine nut mountains in Nevada. It is a large cluster and is brown in color and has kind of a dull luster, I think it is in the Andradite groop of garnets. I have been told that this kind of garnet that I have is very rare and that collectors pay top dollar for such stones. I can not seem to be able to find a picture of anything like it online. I don't know a whold lot about gemstones, maybe someone can write back and help me. I also have a very large blood garnet, or black garnet, and a quartz rock with several small to medium dark red garnets.
