The ice hockey season and the calendar year[edit]

Why talk about "2006 in ice hockey"? The international ice hockey seasons, and most countries, play their ice hockey seasons over 2 calendar years (maybe some countries on the Soutern Hemisphere play ice hockey calendar years, I don't know). Most seasons are named like "ice hockey season 1992-1993" and the "ice hockey season 1993-1994".

Because it's not about the seasons. It's about the years, I believe. BsroiaadnTalk 02:50, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
