Currently information science is both a sub-category of computer science and categorized within computer science. Dfletter 18:53, 26 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The Wikiproject recognizes Information Science and Computer Science as parallel disciplines. Neither should be a sub-category of the other nor part of another category that is a sub-category of the other. This was the subject of my post in 2005. Does anyone have a alternate opinion? Information scientists[edit]

I have moved a number of individuals from this category to Category:Information scientists. However, I am worried by lack of any clear criteria whether someone belongs to this category or to Category:Computer scientists or both. --RichardVeryard 02:55, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
