A "live-preview digital camera" is basically any digital camera other than a DSLR (or rangefinder). - This is a made up definition. It is also innaccurate since some dSLRs - and an increasing number of them - have Live Preview. That is the problem with making up a term such as was done with 'Conventionally generated Live Ptreview Digital Camera' - it just becomes more and more innaccurate as technology changes. --Stujoe (talk) 00:44, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Does this include most digital point and shoot cameras Non D-SLR with live screen previews?

This definition is kinda vague, there are MANY more cameras to be included if that is so, EG the Canon A series. Almost all digital point and shoot cameras for the longest time have had live preview. It is only really a new feature on DSLRs due to the mirror lifting/sensor activating that has to be done to generate the preview on them, and focus/meter light, alternatively to point and shoot which have no "reflex."

I've always wondered why they make sure to specify it is a single lens. Why not a Canon/Nikon DDLR (Digital Double Lens Reflex)? Different focal lengths two different sensors, double the fun right?
