New name[edit]

This new name is terrible. Not everyone associated with Transcendentalism was part of the Transcendental Club. Sarah Helen Whitman, for one. The "consensus" to rename came from the nominator and one other supporter. --Midnightdreary (talk) 01:16, 13 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

To expand on my point: Category currently has 37 pages in it. We now should remove Louisa May Alcott, Charles Timothy Brooks, James Elliot Cabot, Thomas Carlyle, William Ellery Channing, Moncure Conway, Caroline Healey Dall, John Sullivan Dwight, Nathaniel Langdon Frothingham, Octavius Frothingham, William Henry Furness, Charles Lane, Samuel Longfellow, Annie Russell Marble, Joseph Palmer, Franklin Benjamin Sanborn, Thomas Treadwell Stone, Samuel Gray Ward, John Weiss, and Sarah Helen Whitman. That's 20 people, more than half the category. --Midnightdreary (talk) 01:22, 13 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
