I absolutely believe it is appropriate to redirect or rename this category and relating pages named Military of Bangladesh to Bangladesh Armed Forces. First of all linguistically Military of Bangladesh is incorrect. Historically Bangladesh Forces (BDF) is the title that was assigned to combined military branches as one by the Bangladesh Government in Exile during its inception at the start of of Bangladesh's independence struggle. Military of Bangladesh has never been in use or in use by other governments. In official standing it has no place. In articles and essays military branches of Bangladesh can be assumed into militaries of Bangladesh. Bangladesh Armed Forces by official title represents every armed branch for the protection of BD at a national level and so since January 29th 1972. I might add it was nevertheless represented as such even in that infamous war surrender document signed on behalf of Bangladesh on December 16th by subordinate commands of two foreign armies. The principal headquarters of the Bangladesh Military, its attestation, signature and seal including official emblem is titled Bangladesh Armed Forces. During the late seventies an Armed Forces Division officially established. Due to lack funds and logistics it was not until the early eighties that it started executing policy and decision making. Original conferences and meetings were chaired at Bangabhaban by President Ziaur Rahman. Later they were held in a small building next to Army HQ and then moved to Ministry of Defense. With time a more modern building was constructed in a separate zone inside Dhaka Cantonment. Today they are chaired by the Primr Minister of Bangladesh with all military secretaries and chiefs including ministry of defense principle officials. Official Armed Forces day is held on November 21st of every year commemorating its full documented establishment in the second Sector Commanders Conference, chaired by General M.A.G. Osmani in 1971. It is the title used for in its entirety by all media and television in BD. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.118.201.120 (talkcontribs)

Dear Muraad Kahn's IP, you are totally confused here. The article is not referring to the proper/official name of the armed forces of Bangladesh. Rather, it is about the *topic* of Military of Bangladesh. Articles about the armed forces of various countries have been consistently named as "Military of X". For example, see Military of Pakistan, Military of Japan etc. If you disagree, please go to the naming convention policy related page and get a consensus there. Thank you. --Ragib (talk) 19:03, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
