Untitled[edit]

How come these are all NORTH American Natives. Arent there some famous Mesoamerican and South American Native Americans leaders?

My guess is that it's because we have a lot of North American editors. Care to write some articles to fill the void? Poindexter Propellerhead 07:41, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's because "Native American" is only suitable for indigenous people in the United States; even the Alaska Natives in this category are not properly in it as they are "Alaskan Natives" and the term Native American is not used there. Canadian indigenous peoples (other than Inuit and Metis (Canada)) are Category:First Nations, in this case the equivalent category is Category:First Nations leaders. Not sure what term is correct for Mexico....Category:Mexican indigenous leaders might be useful, "Native American" is not.Skookum1 (talk) 08:10, 2 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Parameters[edit]

How does this classification differ from Category:Native American politicians? "Leader" seems a bit broad and vague. Could it be more carefully definied? -Uyvsdi (talk) 19:22, 8 September 2010 (UTC)Uyvsdi[reply]
