Ooliferous?[edit]

Tisquesusa (who created this category Ooliferous formations) - why do you believe that is ooliferous is a suitable word to use in the name of this category for geological formations containing fossil eggs? How is this word linked to fossil eggs? My Google search for this word gave no hits and I have not found it a dictionary. A possible alternative word for egg-bearing is oviferous but I think use of oviferous would be unhelpful to most Wikipedia users, for example because it is usually used to describe the animal who produced the eggs rather than the rock in which the eggs are fossilized. I suggest a better category name would be "Geologic formations containing fossil eggs". — GeoWriter (talk) 14:44, 11 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
