Outer Hebrides or Western Isles[edit]

Why do half of the subcategories use "Outer Hebrides" but the other half use "Western Isles"? Shouldn't we be consistent and use one or the other? Good Ol’factory (talk) 09:25, 1 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Unless some have already been moved I only see one or two. NB It is possible in some cases "Western Isles" refers to the Hebrides as a whole. Ben MacDui 15:46, 23 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I started a nomination shortly after I made the comment above, and most of the ones that used "Western Isles" were renamed to "Outer Hebrides". Good Ol’factory (talk) 01:21, 29 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know much about Lord Lieutenants but as there is one for Argyll and Bute I assume the Lord Lieutenant of the Western Isles has the Outer Hebrides under his purview. I am pretty sure Western Isles geography stubs are for the Outer Hebrides only too. Ben MacDui 07:38, 29 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't nominate Category:Lord-Lieutenants of the Western Isles for a change because it looked to me like "Lord-Lieutenant of the Western Isles" is a specific title. Good Ol’factory (talk) 08:44, 29 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
