overlap v interact[edit]

I don't see how galaxies could overlap without interacting ... meybe this should be merged? -- ProveIt (talk) 16:17, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Overlapping galaxies would be galaxies that are in line-of-sight orientation from Earth as being in the same location on the celestial grid. I suppose it'd be nice for amateur star gazers with big scopes to see some nice things... This would be an optical association and not a gravitational association...
