JR Warbucks removal from page[edit]

I normally don't comment on these, but I got a kick out of this one,... Jashi05 added a link to a "JR Warbucks — Producer, Songwriter, Rapper and founder of Trill Sqaud and A.k.A. (White Oak Neighborhood)". A google search for "JR Warbucks" took me to what appears to be a strangely archived website of the wikipedia vandalism entry for this snot-nosed punk at http://www.iskenderiye.com/wp_encyclopedia/?p=29543. From the page, "Today Warbucks still making music and running his underground label in his sister basement just 10 minutes away from white oak. He is currently unsigned but hoping for his moment." Yeah, ok. Whatever. Dipsh*t. Dr. Cash 05:44, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The two pages have redundant information, and is a content fork. Dr. Cash (talk) 23:43, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think the better solution is to delete this page. The DC, Maryland, and Virginia pages cover everyone on this list. Each of those is a well defined area while this one isn't. There is no "List of people from the New York metropolitan area" nor "List of people from the Los Angeles metropolitan area". It is this page that is redundant and unnecessary. --D. I cannot find the pages that you are referring to. There are no separate pages for DC, Maryland, and Virginia people. Dr. Cash (talk) 15:13, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I found them here [[1]] and here [[2]]. I did not check the lists for overlaps. MDfoo (talk) 18:14, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I am aware of those two lists, but they are not exactly accurate in this case. This lists covers specifically notable people from the DC metro area only -- Virginia and Maryland extend quite far beyond the DC metro area (e.g. a notable person from Roanoke, Virginia or Frostburg, Maryland certainly is not from the DC metro area). However, most lists of notable people associated with a city are actually lists of notable people from the metro area, not being limited to the single city that defines the population center of that area. DC is also a special case because ALL of its suburbs are located in either VA or MD and a lot of these famous people are going to be from the suburbs. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.207.242.4 (talk) 14:19, 19 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
