Cat duplication[edit]

This is a useful category but don't use the cat to put in topics where it's redundant. The racial segregation and anti-communism categories are more specific and should be used rather than putting both in. Otherwise this topic just gets repeated. 151.205.39.227 17:52, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe there could be another category for "war on terror" related matters like wiretaps and detainees? Is there already one? 151.205.39.227 17:57, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I found this one but maybe it's too broad. What do others think? 151.205.39.227 18:06, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Additions[edit]

I added Category:United States national security policy so that more relevant topics can be found by those who peruse this subject without needless repetition. Unsure about terrorism-specific articles, though. I also added the Alien and Sedition Acts, a very important subject in US political repression. Perhaps others could be drawn from the early republican period or the colonial era as well? 151.205.39.227 18:49, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I brought some others in, as well as Category:Laws leading to the American Revolution, which is a very important topic. 151.205.39.227 19:07, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think Category:Laws leading to the American Revolution belongs in this list. These laws were economic laws and did not restrain political activity in the colonies. BradMajors 18:46, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
