Remove a page[edit]

How do you get a page off this list?andycjp (talk) 03:45, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Some older pages may be categorized directly with [[Category:Redirects from short names]] at or near the bottom of the page, so that code can be removed/erased. These redirects are usually tagged with {{R from short name}}; if that rcat is removed, then the redirect will no longer populate this category. Hope this helps. I don't understand the purpose of this category[edit]

What is the point of categorizing a page whose sole purpose is to help you find another page? I'm assuming there is a point or people wouldn't go around adding this to things but I just don't get it. Redirects are not content, they are navigational aids. How does categorizing them this way actually do anything? Beeblebrox (talk) 17:14, 9 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
