Saga of the Skolian Empire articles[edit]

There are a surprisingly large number of articles (at one point, upwards of 40 articles) and redirects related to this series. The articles are fairly lengthy text written apparently on the basis of the primary sources themselves only, though not specifically sourced even to them. Posting here for an uncluttered centralized discussion which can be briefly linked from other talk pages as needed. Most contain tags for a few of the following: references and sources, fan site, too long, overly detailed, peacock terms, original research, unverifiable claims, in-universe style, cleanup, not appropriate for an encyclopedia, notability, orphan... perhaps others. All could probably use tag consolidation with if that isn't how it currently is, and any ones without a tag probably need it.

What I'm willing to do: I'll add sources for the awards to the novel(la) articles, and work on cleaning up the tags, and posting talk page comments about the issues (probably by linking to this page), and categorizing any uncategorized pages.

I tend to think all the novels are better handled by a single series article. There don't seem to be online WP:Reliable sources (direct, detailed coverage by reputable sources), but I'll concede that there could be some offline sources for them. I also tend to think none of the content-related articles are appropriate and that there would not be offline sources for them; the AfDs seem to bear this out. Clearly some Wikipedians have some enthusiasm for and knowledge of this series, but it might be better to address that on a fansite, or to actually publish the work and get recognition (and money?) for it. I worked a little on the novel articles: added the awards with a good reference, did some tag consolidation using Template:Article issues and added some Template:Allplot tags, fixed some wikilinks, removed some duplicate links per WP:SEEALSO, added Wikipedia:WikiProject Science Fiction to the talk pages. Added short story infobox, more allplot tags, minor cleanup, added WPP SciFi to plot element articles, did tag consolidation and SEEALSO for them. Debresser[edit]

Hi. I have been working on these articles as well, some half year ago, as you can read in detail on one of my userpages.

I proposed the merger of Kyle Web, Psion (Saga of the Skolian Empire), and Rhon into Rhon psion (a redirect at present). Work page User:Debresser/Rhon psion.

I have a copy of the deleted Sauscony Lahaylia Valdoria Skolia in my user space at User:Debresser/Sauscony Lahaylia Valdoria Skolia. In addition, the recent deletion discussions at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jagernaut and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Roca Skolia (2nd nomination) concluded that it would be wise to merge all articles about characters into one big article Saga of the Skolian Empire (also a redirect at present). I agree with this. Of course they will have to be shortened a bit. The text can be retreived from the histories (which is why they were kept as redirects). The redirected articles are Jagernaut, Roca Skolia, Eldrinson Althor Valdoria, Kurj Skolia (which I restored from deletion previously), Kelricson Garlin Valdoria Skolia, and the original Saga of the Skolian Empire, but I think the same holds true for other articles (present and deleted) as well. As a result of the above merges, many redirects have been changed. I have also categorised a few of the previously uncategorised ones. In addition Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Taquinil Selei and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tarquine Iquar are missing in the list above.
