Is this category needed?[edit]

To quote Roger Musson, who arguably knows more about earthquakes in the UK than anybody else,[1] "There is probably no single fault in the British Isles which could be incontrovertably said to be seismically active, in the sense of being the causative feature for specific earthquakes" and mentions three (the Sticklepath Fault, the Mainstone Fault and the Loch Long Fault) as being the strongest candidates. He specifically excludes the Great Glen Fault and Highland Boundary Fault as unproven, based on there being no observed relationship between earthquake epicentres and the faults. I don't think that this category is either necessary or useful. Mikenorton (talk) 12:05, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
