It is incorrect to use "graphene oxide" instead of "graphite oxide". Graphene is by definition one monolayer of graphite. Therefore, "graphene oxide" can be used only for one monolayer of graphite oxide. "Graphite oxide" is commonly accpeted term while graphene oxide practically never used. Therefore, most of the page content should be moved to "graphite oxide" page. Discussing interlayer distance in monolayer material is not relevant. AFM studies are relevant, discussion of graphene films preparation from graphene oxide films is also relevant, but not more.
