Hong Kong is subset of China / China is subset of Asia[edit]
At present Hong Kong is a subset of China so please don't put the subcategory of Hong Kong both in China and Asia. STSC (talk) 07:21, 5 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Actually categorization does work that way, a great deal of the time, especially with categories that cover historic information—you will find a great many what may sometimes be regarded as redundancies. But the key with categories is not to eliminate every possible redundancy—it is to make browsing categories easier for readers. You can RFC it if you like; it's a minor point that is hardly worth the effort, though. (It is a bit funny that you would suggest you know how categorization "works", when I see you created the category under the current name and have tried to uncategorize Latter Day Saint categories as being "non-Christian"—both of which betray a lack of awareness of how categories "work" on these subjects.)
