Subcategories[edit]

Why are the departments' articles both in this category and in their subcategories? —Mark Adler (markles) 15:21, 24 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Because they are a member of this group, allowing classification by this category as well as navigation between all the executive departments, and they define their own subcategory, allowing navigation directly from the parent article to the "child" subtopics. Simple hierarchical organization. Postdlf 15:25, 24 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Too much wording[edit]

Having all the categories and subcategories starting with “United States” seem ridiculous. I think every one knows that this is the “United States….” —Preceding unsigned comment added by Aces lead (talkcontribs) 23:03, 21 June 2006
