UNDER THE CATAGORY OF "MACHINE GUNS' I NOTICE THERE ARE A COUPLE OF MISSING WEAPONS FROM THE UNITED STATES LIST. THEY ARE:

THE M8 & M8C .50 Spotting Rifle used on the 106 mm Recoiless Rifle. This weapon fired a unique .50 ctg. that was shorter than the Browning .50 ctg. and tipped with a VERY DANGEROUS flash/bang spotting projectile. Many of this combination spotting rifle and anti-tank gun were produced and they can be clearly seen mounted on the top of any 106mm RR such as is commonly noted on jeeps and the Marine "Ontious" (? sp) 6 gun tracked anti-tank unit used heavily in Viet Nam by the Marines. The Army also used a large amount of the 106mm RR's for defensive weapons to fire fleshetts and cannister ammo.

Secondly;

The Browning .30 (30-06) M-2 Machine Gun. Was a fairly uncommon .30 weapon used almost entirely on aircraft such as the Navy dive bombers and in the nose of the Army Air Corp. B-25 Mitchael Dive Bomber. It was a "baby" .50 in appearance and had "butterfly" grips for firing. One can be seen in the movie "MID-WAY" mounted and manned in the back of one of the Aamerican Navy Dive Bombers. The barrel was shielded in the purforated aircaft machinegun style.
