Definition of Urban Animals[edit]

This list should be restricted to animals adapted to the urban ecology. The urban ecology is a separate and emerging ecology for which particular types of animals are suited for. It relates to the specific interactions with humans and the human built environment that allow creatures to subsist in an urban environment. To include any animal which might ever be found in an urban environment would be to include almost every species on earth, making the category pointless. Any animal can wander into a city. The category relates to the type of animal, rather than some sort of wildlife spotting list. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jameel the Saluki (talkcontribs) 10:58, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
