Hi – I have hundreds of NSF-funded uniquely-designed instructional physics modules on the web at PHYSNET.ORG and there are apparently 136 or so links to those modules in Wikipedia articles by various authors unrelated to me. A few days ago I was required to move the modules to a different server. Seeing that people were writing links like 35.9.69.219/HOME/MODULES/PDF_MODULES/M114.PDF, I took the opportunity to make the links independent of the server by using the domain name, so the links in the Wikipedia articles should now be like PHYSNET.ORG/MODULES/PDFMODULES/M114.PDF. Notice that I also took out the underline, which may be mistaken for a space when an entire link is underlined, and I removed the unused intermediate folder HOME. The problem is that the module links in Wikipedia articles are now broken. I could change the links in other peoples’ stuff, one-by-one, probably making errors, or, hopefully, someone has the capability to update them all programatically in one crack. If so, I would be very grateful! Signell (talk) 02:31, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Town creation bot[edit]

I read somewhere on Wikipedia about a bot that was going to create an article on every town in the world. I think I read about it on the Village Pump. Can someone help me find the article. Thanks

How can I confirm that cookies disabled in the bot[edit]

I need to confirm that the cookies will not be enabled for the bots.

How can I conclude that cookies are disabled in the users browser. My code is in PHP. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Satishpalasa (talkcontribs) 07:29, 26 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
