Location[edit]
It is located on the Route des Pinchinats in Aix-en-Provence.[1][2][3][4][5] It is on the same road as the Château de la Mignarde, another listed chateau, though further north.[3][6]
History[edit]
It was built in the eighteenth century.[2] It spans seventeen hectares.[7] The driveway to the three-story bastide is bordered by chestnut trees on each side.[2] The garden has ponds, fountains, a French formal garden with a yew maze, several terraces, and even an alleyway for butterfly-hunting.[2] Additionally, there is a chapel.[8] The estate is also home to a vineyard, and sells wine.[5]
It is owned by Didier Blaise.[7]
Heritage significance[edit]
It has been listed as a monument historique since 1963.[8]
