Charuvi Design Labs (CDL) is an animation studio and design lab headquartered in New Delhi, India. Founded in 2009 by artist Charuvi Agrawal, CDL specializes in various aspects of digital art, animation, and design.[1]

CDL was established in 2009 by Charuvi Agrawal, with a focus on blending artistry with technology to produce innovative digital works. Since its inception, the studio has undergone significant growth, expanding its portfolio and collaborating with a diverse range of clients and partners.[2]
Services and Expertise[edit]
CDL offers a wide range of services including pre-visualization, conceptual artwork, 3D and 2D animation, digital media production, television commercials, application and game designs, as well as interactive physical media installations and augmented reality experiences.[3]
Major Works and Projects[edit]
Among CDL's notable projects is the production of the 3D animated short film "Shri Hanuman Chalisa" in 2013. [4]Additionally, the studio created a 25-foot sculpture of Hanuman, composed of 26,500 bells, which was installed in Delhi's Select CityWalk mall.[5] CDL has also produced other artworks such as the Kaavad (a 16-feet story book) and figurines depicting Lord Hanuman and Asuras.[6]
The Legend of Hanuman - Animated Web Series[edit]
In addition to its other projects, CDL contributed to the creation of the animated web series "The Legend of Hanuman." Produced by Graphic India and created by Sharad Devarajan, Charuvi Agrawal, and Jeevan J. Kang, the series premiered globally on Disney+ Hotstar on January 29, 2021, in seven Indian languages.[7] In 2021, Graphic India announced that "The Legend of Hanuman'' was the second most-watched show that year across all Indian streaming platforms, according to APN News. The series continued its success with Season 3 becoming the 2nd most-watched show on Disney + Hotstar in India.[8]
Collaborations and Partnerships[edit]
Over the years, CDL has collaborated with various entities including Turner (Cartoon Network), the International Committee of the Red Cross, The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), the National Film Board of Canada, and private corporations such as Godrej and Nestle.[9]
Awards & Recognition[edit]
CDL's work has garnered recognition both domestically and internationally. The Legend of Hanuman has won 4 awards and 1 nomination. It won Outstanding Achievement Award for Animated Films, Outstanding Achievement Award for Family/Children Films, The WFC - Singapore Award for Television / Pilot Program or Series, and The WFC - Singapore Award for Best Producer. It was nominated for the Indian Television Academy Award for Best Mytho/Fantasy Serial. [10]
