Daniel Chica (born February 18, 2002) is an American soccer player who plays as a defender for USL League One side Lexington SC.

Career[edit]

Youth[edit]

Chica attended Tuscarora High School and played club soccer with the Virginia Development Academy until 2020.[1]

College[edit]

In 2020, Chica attended George Mason University to play college soccer. In two seasons with the Patriots, Chica made a total of 21 appearances and was named tom the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll in his freshman year.[2]

Professional[edit]

In 2022, Chica spent time with the VDA-D.C. United U23 side and trained with Loudoun United. On December 15, 2022, it was announced Chica would sign a professional contract with Loudoun ahead of their 2023 season in the USL Championship.[3][4][5]

In March 2024, Lexington SC announced that Chica would be upgraded from a trialists to a full roster spot with the team.[6]
