Relations between Ukraine and the Democratic Republic of the Congo were established on April 13, 1999,[1] when DR Congo recognized the independence of Ukraine.

The interests of Ukrainian citizens in DR Congo are protected by the Embassy of Ukraine in Senegal [uk]. The Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in the Democratic Republic of the Congo operates in Kinshasa.

From 2012 to 2022, Ukraine participated [uk] in the United Nations Operation in the Congo.
