"I'm a sinner. He is my guarantor" is the English version song of a popular Bangla song "আমি পাপী, তিনি জামিনদার (Ami papi tini jamindar)"[1][2]. The song was originally written by Gazi Majharul Anwar[3] and composed by Alauddin Ali.[4] Sayed Abdul Hadi[5][5] is the pioneer singer of the song.

The song was created as a playback song of the legendary Bangla movie " গোলাপী এখন ট্রেনে (English - The Endless Trail"[6][7][8], released in Bangladesh on 5th September, 1978. The movie speaks about the endless drudgery of the socio-economically lower-class people even in a free country -Bangladesh, a new-born country of just 7 years old (Bangladesh became free in 1971). The song reminds us all including the upper-class of the society that we have to account for our deeds on earth in the after-life. So we should not cause tribulation to others as we all are subject to face the tribulation on the Day of Judgement and we should remember that.

Mozammal Hoque Tipu Translated this song into English and released the "poelodic" (poetic and melodic at the same time - meaning when a song translation maintains both the theme and tune of original time signature of a melody) rendition under the label "SOUL Bangla Global Music".[9] The song centers round the transience of human life and it's inevitable ending. The lyricist reminds us of this transiency and inspires to do good works on earth that will earn the ticket to Jannat, the Heaven in after-life.
