Draft:1 Southside Park

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

1 Southside Park, branded as the Mercedes-Benz Tower, is a large mixed-use development under construction since 2021 in the Brickell neighborhood of Greater Downtown Miami, Florida in the United States. Scheduled to complete in 2024 or 2025, it will be 773 feet (236 m) tall with about 64 floors, making it one of the tallest buildings in Miami. It will be primarily a residential tower, with 1,150 housing units, but will also have about 100,000 square feet (9,300 m2) of office space and a hotel.[1] Additionally, a new fire station is being incorporated into the development to replace the previous one demolished to make way for the project. It is being built by JDS Development Group and is planned for completion by 2025. Tower cranes for vertical construction were added in late 2023. In 2024 the design was revised and the project renamed as Mercedes-Benz Tower, following several other automobile branded towers in the Miami area, including the Porsche Design Tower and Bentley Residences in Sunny Isles Beach, and the Aston Martin Tower in downtown Miami.

It is adjacent to Southside Park, Brickell's largest urban park, which is also next to the Brickell station, served by Metrorail and Metromover.
