A Thousand Mile-Walk to the Gulf is an account adapted from John Muir's journal of his "footsteps" from Kentucky to Florida on a trip he referred to as a "botanical journey".[1] It was published with accompanying illustrations in 1916.[2]

The introduction was written by William Frederic Bade.[3] The book includes images from photographs by Herbert W. Gleason, Bradley & Rulofson, Herbert K. Job, and Theodore Eitel.[4]
